First Visit

A first visit to any medical office can be scary. Our warm, compassionate staff goes the distance to ensure you and/or your child feels right at home in our office. Here’s what you should expect:

  • You will be asked to fill in a new patient information form. This form includes personal information, important medical history, and pertinent genetic information. The form also has room at the bottom for you to fill in any specific concerns you may have about your smile.
  • Next, our treatment coordinator will escort the patient to an exam room for digital photos of your smile and an oral exam will be performed by Dr. LeCompte or Dr. Beauchamp.
  • As soon as the clinical evaluation is completed, the patient and patient’s parent or guardian will be brought into the conference room to discuss the patient's orthodontic needs with the treatment coordinator.
  • If the patient is a candidate for orthodontic treatment, a written fee estimate will be given by the treatment coordinator.
  • Before braces can be placed, Dr. LeCompte and Dr. Beauchamp will need to take diagnostic records to work up a formal treatment plan. We can usually take the diagnostic records the same day as your evaluation appointment, or we can schedule it at your convenience.
